Lawry Owers has been in charge of the rural property and real estate division of Rawlinson & Brown Pty Ltd since 1977. He was appointed a Director of the company in 1985.
With over 35 years in the rural sector, he has been involved in the sale of most Murrumbidgee Irrigation properties between Whitton and Hay during this period, including such properties as Rudds Point, Dunvarleigh, Woodlands, Huddersfield, Uri Park, Uri East, Akuna/Kerabury, Binda Farms, Point Farms, Quindallup and Kulki. Lawry has also inspected such properties as Gundaline, Toganmain, Burrabogie, Tubbo, Ooleambyan, Goolgumbla and Torry Plains with prospective buyers, providing bidders at Auctions with local, national and international clientele.
Lawry has also been involved in the sale of several large-scale irrigation properties on the Lachlan River System, including Hazelwood, Myalla, Longdale, Moora Farm, Glenmore, Redloam Station and was also involved in the sale of Uabba Station. Lawry is well aquatinted and has dealt with large international agricultural corporations including Hancock Farm Company (USA), Agreserves Australia, Rural Funds Management and Four Arrows Pastoral Group. Lawry has just completed the sale of a major rural business in excess of $10 million between two corporate entities.
The above sales and marketing experience, together with a background in irrigation farming, all facets of the livestock industry including Stud Merino sheep breeding, wool growing, fat lamb production, dairy and beef cattle, retail farm machinery and general agricultural products, chemicals and fertiliser distribution give Lawry an outstanding background in the industry.
The above, together with a sound knowledge of rural agronomy, economics, machinery requirements and values, have led to Lawry being regarded as an outstanding rural property sales and marketing expert.

Alister Watt
Director, Rawlinson & Brown, Griffith
Alister comes from a farming background in the Central Western area of New South Wales.
He has worked in the livestock and property agency industry for the past 30 years based in Griffith. After joining Rawlinson & Brown in 1974 and working as a livestock auctioneer at Griffith and then a Branch Manager at the Hillston office, Alister became a Director of the company on his return to Griffith in 1985.
From 1985 to 1987 he acted as the Livestock manager for the company. In 1987, he joined Lawry Owers to head the real estate division of Rawlinson & Brown. The past 10 years have seen the acquisition of the local Raine & Horne Real Estate office, therefore enhancing the urban real estate section of the business, but equally importantly Rawlinson & Brown has developed into the leading regional rural property sales and marketing company in the Riverina and Murrumbidgee Irrigation area.
Over the years, Alister has been involved in the sale of several Hillston and Lachlan River, Murrumbidgee Irrigation and Coleambally Irrigation properties including Boondilla, Bundara, Yoolaroi, Springdale, Saddleback and along with several other dry and irrigated properties in the Riverina. Alister also has an active role in the sale of temporary and permanent surface and ground water in the Murrumbidgee and Lachlan Basins via The Riverina Water Exchange.
Alister of recent, has developed an excellent rapport with several New Zealand agricultural investors, and in fact is at present showing Riverina irrigation properties to these groups. Some of these New Zealanders have farming and pastoral interests also in the UK.
