FERTILISERS
CROPPING
Rawlinson & Brown use specialised products from reputable suppliers to help push your production to its maximum sustainable level. Our agronomists can advise you about the most economical and best suited product for the situation. Our range of diagnostic, planning and technical services helps clients improve the productivity of their summer and winter broadacre crops.
Loads of granular fertiliser can be delivered on farm, with extremely competitive freight options direct from port. Alternatively, pickup can be arranged from local fertiliser depots. These depots are useful when custom blends are required, or smaller quantities of fertiliser are needed.
FOLIAR FERTILISERS
Industry trends have seen a rise in the usage of foliar fertilisers. Plant Tissue and Sap tests allow us to accurately detect plant nutrient deficiencies including both macro and micro nutrients. A foliar spray allows you to correct deficiencies, or enhance crop quality at different plant stages. Liquid fertilisers offer different use patterns to traditional granular fertilisers, and are more efficient in certain situations.
Rawlinson & Brown source quality foliar fertilisers from Agrichem, Growforce, Incitec Pivot and Nipro. We also bulk store Easy N, which is a liquid nitrogen equivalent of urea, and Easy NP, a liquid MAP style formulation. Easy N and Easy NP can be picked up at our shop in 1000 litre shuttles, or via bulk tanker loads direct on farm into suitable storage.
LIME & GYPSUM
Lime is sourced from Omya Australia. Omya's Superfine Limestone F70 has long been recognised as the agricultural lime to which others are compared. It is renowned for its high purity of calcium carbonate, its consistency, lack of contamination and guaranteed fineness. Product specifications can be sourced from Rawlinson & Brown.
Gypsum is sourced from Riverina Gypsum Balranald. It is the major commercial form of calcium sulphate and is used locally by farmers as a soil conditioner.
Rawlinson & Brown can arrange transport for on-farm loads of lime and gypsum direct from suppliers. There is no local bulk pickup currently available.
SOIL TESTING
Rawlinson & Brown provides a soil testing service that has access to a number of reputable independent laboratories. These results aid our agronomists in giving accurate recommendations for your fertiliser requirements. GPS units allow us to specifically target certain paddock areas, or take us back to the exact location for follow up tests in proceeding years.
Discuss your soil testing requirements with one of our agronomist, as we have over 20 types of tests to choose from. Our soil testing service includes collection of the sample, express postage to the laboratory, interpretation of results, a printout for your records, and a recommendation for your paddock.
Plant and water testing services are also available.
SPREADING
Rawlinson & Brown can arrange for your granular fertiliser, lime or gypsum to be spread. We have various local spreading contacts, and will liaise with them to ensure the job is carried out correctly and on time. Variable rate prescriptions for you paddock can also be produced, and for further information see the Precision Agriculture section of this website.
